Sam Matus

Sam Matus has acquired extensive experience with over 20 years in the painting industry and has gained a mastery level of knowledge and skill set when it comes to residential interior and exterior repaint, new construction, and commercial painting, also specializing in kitchen cabinet repaint services. In 2004, Sam set out to form Aztec Painting Inc, a painting firm that would stand on top as the Wilmington, NC, and surrounding areas’ preeminent painter, demonstrating an ethic of professionalism, honesty, and quality, which are values he respects about the work his company produces, and the industry they serve, after seeing many instances where other firms were lacking in integrity

Paulina Mendez

Paulina Mendez has been in Wilmington since 2006. She joined Aztec Painting Inc as a part time employee in 2020, after a couple of years she took over the position of office assistant and has been with the company since then. She has four kids, two of them attend UNCW and she homeschools the other two. She enjoys spending time with her family, and enjoys making trips to the mountains to relax.

Saul Matus

Saul Matus has been involved in the paint industry since 2004. He is one of the first employees of Aztec Painting Inc. He also managed a local paint store prior to enrolling in the Architectural Technology program at Cape Fear Community College. He worked for an architectural firm for several years before returning to Aztec Painting Inc to help in the continued growth of the company. He and his wife have three wonderful children and are very active in the homeschool community.

Faustino Dominquez

Faustino Dominquez has worked in the painting industry since 2012. He joined Aztec Painting Inc at the beginning of 2019. After two years of leading a painting crew he was promoted to Project Manager. He has been, and continues to be, a key part in our company with his experience, knowledge, and great personality. He is married, has three children, and he loves his wife and kids very much.
